Spotted!
I'm sure I saw a very tidy light green series 2 Carawagon going the other way down the M25 earlier, wondered if it was anyone on here? There was a multitude of old VW campers going the same way, so I presume there was a rally somewhere...

Re: Spotted!
Which way?
Steve (WhiteKnight) has just been on a week long 'bushcraft' course in 100 acre wood (yes, where Winnie the Pooh lives
) in East Sussex.
I think his course finished yesterday, but he's still noticably absent from the forums and facebook, so it's possible he stayed another night and travelled up today.
He would definitely need to go on the M25, most likely Dartford crossing, to get up to the A1 on the way home.
If he was going down, he's probably remembered where he left his tent out to dry so is going back for it
If it looked like this (without the sand!), chances are it was him

Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Spotted!
Only saw it very briefly, but could well have been. Having only really come across carawagons last week
I couldn't believe my luck at having spotted one on the road...

Re: Spotted!
Hopefully he'll be on later tonight or tomorrow (or at least that's the first thing I'd do after a week without the Internet
) to confirm or deny.
Well done though - so that's two ticks next to Land Rover Carawagon in your Ladybird book of 'I Spy'
Just wait until you get to a show where we have a stand - at some there are more carawagons than you can shake a stick at! At last year's Leafers at t'Pit we had 7 and a half (the half was John Carroll's Abersoch Express, an 88" version)

I did indeed use the M25, from Stevenage up to M11 anticlockwise on Saturday (22nd) around 6pm.
If it was me, good spot, I was on my way home trying to stay awake.

Cheers
Steve

Re: Spotted!
A nice looking vehicle, but a bit expensive for me
. It looks interesting, I haven't seen a two door one with the back converted for seating like that, I'd only seen the 4 door ones with forward facing bench on the second row, and then the sideways ones.

You could always try this one.AntMan232 wrote:A nice looking vehicle, but a bit expensive for me. It looks interesting, I haven't seen a two door one with the back converted for seating like that, I'd only seen the 4 door ones with forward facing bench on the second row, and then the sideways ones.
Half the price of the earlier one, and a double cab, so nearer your station wagon desire
