Yes there was, but I forgot to ask how much. Will find out hopefully when I get the paperwork.

The Dormi failed MOT unfortunately. Nothing serious, Just a hole in the outrigger near the rear spring needs plating up. And one of the rear wheels has no braking power and is quite oily, so most likely a hub seal leaking onto the brakeshoes.
They are going to fix that asap at Rockingham Landrover as they can do it much quicker than I can. Besides, I have to do everything out in the open and the elements. Also the windscreen washer squirts under the windscreen rather then onto it. Will need changing. Also some other small rust holes were found (advisory) near the rear x member with has been replaced in the past. They will fix all of that so that it will pass MOT this week. The tester did say that over the whole she looked in really good condition. So that does gives me confidence that I have made a good purchase at a good price.
Then I need to send the V62 for a V5 and V10 for the tax disc to the DVLA.

Bad luck with the MOT fail, though it doesn't sound like much is wrong

Once you get it back, check the axle breather on the rear (and front) axle to make sure it's not blocked.
If it's blocked, that could be why oil has pushed past the hub seal (though of course, it could just be a worn seal )

Very easy to do and a shame to pay garage prices so you might as well do it yourself.
Unscrew and shake it - it should rattle. Then wipe the threaded end off and try to blow through it - should be easy. If not, it's blocked.

They aren't expensive, but many folk replace the breathers with an extended kit to stop it happening in the future.
It's also recommended to fit extended breathers to overdrives and transfer boxes - stops oil being blown out of the breather hole etc.

That's a nice bit of kit Robin. When I get it back I will make sure I check them. I has similar issue with My last series 2. Put some new breathers in, the brass version, like the original.

For use on the gearbox, transfer box and overdrive one would have to drill and tap holes? Or are there existing connections?

I never had looked into it, but does the series need wading plugs?

Yes, you'd need to remove, then drill and tap the inspection covers of the overdrive and transfer box.
The gearbox 'breathes' in to the transfer box through a deliberate hole in the castings so you don't need a separate gearbox breather.

If you haven't got the tools (8.8mm drill and 1/8" BSP tap) then I offer a "Drill & Tap" service. Folk can send their plates to me and I'll send them back with a kit. It's a service I offer to go with the kit
You would then just need a couple of more fittings - there's plenty of tubing with the kit so you wouldn't need anything else

It would probably be cheaper for you to get it done locally or even buy the drill & tap locally

I do sell the kit all over the world though - loads to Europe, a couple to Asia and several to Australia and USA
