Possible Carawagon?

Post by AntMan232 » Sun Mar 16, 2014 2:02 pm

I saw this linked on the S2C forum, and thought it was a very intriguing vehicle, mainly for all of its funny storage spaces, and hinged plates. It almost looks armoured, with big metal sheets hinging over the sides of the hard top.

It wasn't until I looked back again, that I saw in the description "It has a Cara Waggon Roof and has been fitted with cupboards inside.". Now, it doesn't look like any carawagon roof i've ever seen, but then again, I don't really know much about them... It does definitely look like it has some sort of raising roof though. What do you folks think?

(And I really apologise if somebody is quietly watching this with an intent to buy it, feel free to delete this or someting if so, I just thought it might have slipped the radar!)

That's a strange looking beast - very much a 'made for a purpose' vehicle by the looks of it :stars:

The roof looks almost like a Safari roof skin - perhaps a home-made job

Cheers,
Robin.

That's sort of what I thought, though the front of it over the windscreen doesn't look like a normal safari skin. Very interesting indeed!

Now on ebay in pieces :( shame as it looks a really interesting home conversion to me. I'd have loved to have restored that!
