Hi All,
Most of you know me as I am the Yorkshire area series2 rep. For folks who don't know me Idon't have a camper but i do have a very nice overland tent with log burner which can keep you dry and warm when your carawagon roof leaks.Lol
Any way i am on here now .

Aaagh - I seem to remember you asking about my LWB, although how serious you were about an S3 rat, I'm not sure, :whistle: but perhaps I should have given you a chance :tiphat:

Anyway, Rex has gone to a very nice guy in Sheffield, and I hope he's happy there - I do miss him as he was the one I could jump into and drive without thinking as he was well sorted and so light to drive.

Now I've got two lumbering beasts, Steptoe with all his heavyweight additions & 6 pot Diesel slogger of an engine, and my Carawagon (not so much of a slogger now with the 200TDi & 3.54 diffs :neener: ).

Hopefully, if you're serious about a LWB conversion, you'll see plenty of ideas here.

There are a number of ways to convert the roof - my favourite is an Australian couple's idea - hinge the roof at one side and flip it over 180 degrees with a 'pram fold' tent opening with it. That gives a double bed in the roof, and loads of space in the vehicle. I was in the planning stages of that, and even had a single skin roof lined up to start the project before my Carawagon appeared.
Perhaps I'll still do that with Steptoe, once all my other projects are finished :stars:

Hi Gordon, you don't need a LWB to convert, just change a Shortie!

Where are you from as i have only met one person with an 88" carawagon and that was at OLLR great Yorkshire tore, I was camped next to them and they were from Nottingham area (was that you )

Hi All
Im Neil i live in Leeds West yorkshire I dont have a Classic Camper but I do have 2 Land Rovers.

1 Bluebird is a 1964 SWB 200tdi many other changes some of which some people dont like but I dont care its paid for an its mine.

2 AF04XUD (no name) is a 2004 silver Defender 90 td5 many upgrades far from standard.

3 I also have a 1990 Ford Sierra 2.0 i DOHC (not been on road for over 5 yrs soon to change).

I will be at many of the shows over the year along side the LRCC group with one of the above vehicles.

I havn't go a camper either........ In fact I havn't got a classic anymore :cry:

I have got a Land Rover, I do a lot of camping and I will have another classic after I move house.
