Looks like it was a twin bed with the front seats folding down to make part of the bed. Units on both sides at the rear.

He's got it moving and fitted the replacement tyres brakes are knackered (ish) and hand brake will need checking. Just have to see who wins now!

It's also got a Range Rover steering column and steering box - Best make sure the chassis has been properly strengthend around where they will have removed the front crossmember too.

I'm sure the front cross member was still there? The PAS was off a Defender, surely it'd go through the same hole as the Series?

the power steering was from a defender

and the cross member had been cut ,and a
smaller box section welded in,looked strong
enough

He's tubed the hole & braced it too - as Dudley says, it should be OK.

An interesting vehicle which in my humble opinion can only go up in value. A great base to start from so bite the bullet guys, borrow from you kids or your Auntie, max out your credit cards and go for it - there couldn't be a better time for buying cheap. I shall be checking the final bid tonight
