LRCC

Gday all. While researching for my restoration I've noticed a couple of Dormobiles with 4 cylinder petrol engines painted dark blue instead of the typical egg shell green, as per the picture. Is this just a cruel coincidence or did it serve a specific purpose? Easy identification on the production line perhaps?

Not sure, but I thought the green colour was the preserve of military rebuilds ?

All I can say is there isn't any sign of paint anywhere on my Dormy's 40 year old engine !
