Front seat bed extention setup

Hi you all
Just refitted original front seats with the wooden pieces on the back in my front row.
See pictures.
Now when i fold the middle seat and passenger seat flat forward the bottem cushion of the driver seat fits perfectly between the bed and wooden piece. Thus extending the bed to full size. So far so good.
But how do i fill in the middle section?
My first guess was that when you take the bottem cushions out from the passenger and middle seat they will fit as the extention but in that case the folding forward piece is way to low.
Anyone with pictures how ut originally was ment to work?
Thanks
Eagle

Slightly late reply... I use the squabs from the respective front seats. Remove squab, fold seat forward and place squab on top. Simple! Looks like this is the same (or similar) setup to yours, do bear in mind though that I have the optional 'Ergo-Contoured' seats which may be slightly thicker?

Hello,
Sorry I missed the original post too - hopefully this will help a little?
The Continental style Carawagon is slightly different in that it has 2 removable wooden supports to make a flat surface for the bed....but the basic principles should be the same.
My bed making process is as follows:
* Overdrive engaged (otherwise the leaver gets in the way)
* All 3 front seat bases are taken out.
* All three seat backs are folded forwards. (No wood on the back of my seats like yours)
* The removable wooden supports are placed on top of the folded down driver and middle seat backs.
* The driver and passenger seat bases are placed on top of these supports.
The middle seat base isn't used for the bed, tuck it away somewhere.
Looking at your photos it does look like the middle seat back is a lot lower when folded - are there alternate holes to mount the seat back pivot on maybe?
If there isn't an obvious solution, a removable support may be the way to go!

My front seat backs have these wooden pieces originally installed.

Is it possible to place a picture when your bed is in full position?
Thanks for help

Hi,
Here are a few photos of the bed supports on my (5 door continental) Carawagon.
If the supports were fixed to the seat back - they would hit the knees of the passengers on the forward facing seat behind. They look to have been modified by a previous owner to help them stay in place, and they work very well at the moment.

Hi Eagle
I'll try and get some pics of my setup for you. I am going to modify it slightly as it causes the passenger to sit a bit too 'upright' but it's very quick and simple to use. There is no wood attached to the back of my seat backs

Here you go. As you can see the setup is very simple in mine.
