Hi all,

Dan here, current Series 2 Club editor etc.. A lot of you already know me! I have a particular interest in doing a Xpanda-Cab type conversion to my 1958 88" S2, the one you haven't really seen yet. Been following lead after lead to find an existing one in the States for about two years and as yet no joy! Ike at Pangolin nearly got one, but it was scrapped :shakehead: Anyway, currently I think I am going to make my own based on a similar principle, so I will keep you all updated with progress (need to weld and MOT the S2 yet).....

Hi Dan, and welcome

Yes, I think DIY is the way to go - can't be that difficult to make something similar to the Xpanda  though I'd be tempted to hinge it at the front, so you've got the headroom at the back.

Good luck with the MOT.

Cheers,
Robin.

HI Dan

There are two Dutch 110's and a Dutch Lightweight with similar roof that are normally at Billing. They are hinged at the front. If you need a canvas for your roof, contact Graham at Tent and Awning repairs in Bolton. There is a link in the suppliers section.

Cheers Mick

All being well this plan will be ditched in a few weeks.... Off to view something in on the Bank Holiday weekend which could literally change my holiday patterns from now on in.... Not going to say to much as A. It isn't a done deal and I don't want to jinx it and B. It is all very top secret :neener:

Thanks Patrick, deal agreed but always nervous until the exchange of vehicle and monies!! Seriously though, the wardrobe is missing (got left somewhere years ago apparently), any ideas on an affordable alternative?
