Doncaster Classic Car Show - 15th July 2012

Hi guys,

There's a Classic Car show at Doncaster, near the racecourse, on Sunday 15th July, with camping the night before.

Some of us went to this last year, and were made welcome.

Cost is £5.50 per vehicle if you want to send me the money beforehand so I can book as a club (min. 6 vehicles) or £6 as an individual entry.

Just in case we don't get the minimum number of vehicles, could you arrange to send me £6 and if we get more than 6 I'll hand 50p back on the day (or put it in the charity box - all proceeds for this event go to charity).

If you decide to book individually, could you please let me know anyway, so we can ask for enough space.

Will not be attending this show as have a pre arranged pub meet to attend in the Borders area.

Hopefully camping overnight somewhere along Hadrians Wall.

Best wishes Les :tiphat:

No problem Les, it's quite a low key affair anyway, so might just be a couple of us going.

Just noticed that we're featured on the poster, with Patrick's, John's & Steve's Carawagons in full view
I just copied and pasted it without really looking :stars:

Cheers,
Robin.

I should be able to make this one Robin, provided I can borrow a vehicle ( ) if the SWB is sold. Will confirm asap.

cheers

Evening all. Re our chat John, the military Commanders Carawagon is at your disposal :-)
If the weather is forecast to be nice, splendid even, I'll come down as well in the Pinkie, otherwise I'd like to ride shotgun in the Carawagon. I'll kip in the awning if I do, if that's ok.

Can I book the Pinkie in with your group? I'll sleep in the Pinkie bivvy in the evening. It's going to have to be hissing it down for me not to take the Pinkie.

Can I book a nosebag as well, I'll bring Apfelkorn :-)

Hi Lardrover,

Yes that would be great if I could use the Carawagon for this show and off course you could bivvie down in the extension if necessary. Will contact you later about the logisics of picking it up it up. Not sure of the troughing arrangments at this stage but normally an alcoholic contribution gets you a bowlful of gruel and some hardtack.

cheers

J

Yep, I think we'll probably be doing Kefta again, but will confirm nearer the time.

Strictly pre-ordered though, and the cost: two bottles of Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer, two of Pear cider, or a monetary equivelant :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi guys,

If you're wanting to go to this, please let me know by this weekend (by Sat 30th June) so I can get the club booking sent off.

Cost is £5.50 for club booking, £6 on the day or if we don't get a minimum of 6.

If you want to go, please let me have £6 each and I'll book you in. If we get more than 6 vehicles on the club form, I'll give you 50p back on the day.

PM me for bank transfer/paypal/address.

Cheers,
Robin.

No-one else then

It doesn't look like I'll be able to send a club booking in then, so it looks like it's 'pay on the gate' for everyone :thud:

I did post on S2C forum, but only got one bite from there, which makes us a total of only 4 or 5!
