Robin - you can't let this go.
Now you are in the swing of carawagon restoration!

Apologies if already mentioned in previous topic

"RMS Carawagon Sales And Hire" I can see a business opportunity here Robin

I'm amazed how these vehicles keep turning up, a nice original dormobile just surfaced over here and it was sold within hours. It's off to a new life in Tasmania, I've told the new owner about LRCC so hopefully he'll sign up

a couple of pics

Just kidding - I haven't got the space for any more :thud:

I'll be watching this with interest, though I don't think I'll be bidding on it as I've got too many 'projects' on at the moment

Might have a spare corner of a field ........

Looks like two LRCC regulars are interested in this one - might have a punt myself....

I don't think I'll be getting any more for a while John - just too much on and funds are low - have to get a galv chassis for my latest one :thud:

Thanks Alex - if I need more storage I'll let you know

Cheers,
Robin.

This one is begging for someone to buy it, take the Carawagon Conversion off and drop it onto an abandoned Series 2 project - preferably one with a galv chassis and a 200 tdi in place - ring any bells? The 6cyl petrol engine and other bits off the S3 could then be sold on. I'd do it but I value my wife's cooking too much....

So you mean make it into a another no-history bitsa rather than the rather original vehicle as it is now? :stars:

You bit :neener:

I'm sure John is just making a joking reference to my latest project, which by the way, WILL be a bitsa as the Carawagon body is all that's available.

Then again, is that any different to what Searle did? After all, they are just big meccano sets

Anyway, I'm sure the one we are referring to can be saved without cutting & shutting
