LRCC

The Borders area of the Series 2 Club will be having our first camping weekend for some years on the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2013 at Leekworth Caravan Park, Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham, DL12 0TL. Whereabouts we will be on the site is totally dependent on numbers, but the owner is going to give us our own section either way. The site has full facilities and there are a certain amount of electric hookups available on a first come first served basis. Basic price is £6 per person per night, there will be extra for hookup, based on the usual 1 vehicle, 1 tent ratio or campervan etc.. plenty to do in the area and hopefully we can arrange a bit of green laning for those interested and some day excursions. At night we have fire-pits, hopefully a BBQ and socialising!

We would love to see some folk from other areas, so feel free to contact me. The owners are big Land Rover fans and are currently investigating the possibility of some private off-roading for our members locally.

As I have a certain amount of latitude with these things, I am happy to extend the invite to LRCC peeps, if you are not already an S2C member! Of course, I will try and sign you up!! The site is maybe quieter than some like and they are not big on all night sessions, but with a fire pit and a few beers I am sure all will be fine with the volume kept down!

I might have to drop SWMBO off at Darlington or Durham station as she will probably spend the weekend with a friend in Newcastle. For some reason she would prefer that to spending a weekend with us lot

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to lack of confirmed attendees

Pity about that esp as I had persuaded SWAMBO to take Friday off so we could make a decent weekend of it. Will join Mick and Co in Littondale the weekend after instead.
