Just for us UK members, the budget just announced included a nice couple of additions which might interest some of us.

Tax exemption will include cars registered up to 31st Dec 1973 (I wonder if this will become a rolling exemption again, like it used to be  ) and SORN will become indefinite meaning we don't have to declare every year.

NEWS HERE

:nana1: :nana1: :nana1: :nana1: :nana1:

Cheers,
Robin.

EDIT: Just found the official info HERE

Here in the sunny State of California (and it really is sunny right now), there is no such thing as an MOT and no smog test on vehicles over 30 years old. All you need is insurance and registration sticker (the cost of which is based on the price you paid for the vehicle) and you are good to go.

Sadly not a rolling exemption. Instead it is decided annually, at the discretion of the chancellor.

So, it will be in place till they complain about loss of earnings and then reinstate it when they want more votes.....

Ooh cynical me eh? :shakehead:
