1967 Series 2A 88 Carawagon
« on: Yesterday at 11:38:09 PM »
Due to a reassessment of priorities my Series 2A Mini-carawagon is up for sale. Lack of interest, impetus and time has meant that this project has lain, largely unchanged for the last year. Given an impending professional promotion I can't see me completing the project in the short or medium term and I would probably regard it as a chore to do.
This is a project, which is complete and just about all the parts are available, including all the rare Searle Carawagon bits.
* Chassis fully repaired and totally repainted. Presented as rolling chassis with good unused springs.
* Bulkhead refurbished, footwells and door posts replaced on a jig. Fully repainted. Bulkhead mounted on chassis.
* Galvanised radiator panel.
* New wiring loom and all lights supplied.
* Brake lines replaced and cylinders available.
* All Carawagon upholstery available.
* Engine good. Has been run during resto but not for a couple of years.
* All body parts present including special Carawagon rear tub with cutaway bulkhead.
* All documents available.
All this has been dry stored in my garage and shed ever since I bought the project, but I am needing these areas for new projects. Body parts are all available.
Available for inspection in High Wycombe area. Obviously would need to be trailered away.
£1950.00 ovno.
I'd like to see this gone fairly soon. I have spent a lot of time and money getting it this far. I think this is a fair price for such a rare beast.
Pics available to genuine enquirers.
Thanks.

Re: 88" Carawagon project from S2C member
There's no need to try and compete with Robin for number of Carawagons on the lawn!

Re: 88" Carawagon project from S2C member
But because they're all shorter I can get more on

Re: 88" Carawagon project from S2C member
Spoke to Eric last night and we have struck a deal, just need to pick it up now!

Well done Stu
Another one joins the fold
You just need another two Carawagons to match my front garden
Cheers,
Robin.
