Ah, someone asked me to keep quiet about that one, but I knew someone else would spot it and post it up

He spoke to the seller, and when asked if he had a Buy-it-Now price in mind, the seller said he'd seen the one sold at Huddersfield LR Centre and so "knew how much they are worth and how much they sell for" :thud:

Personally, although he's got the original paperwork from Searle, it doesn't look right to me - almost as though Searle have done some of the work and someone else has done the windows and cabinet.
No dropped wheel box at the rear either

Ah well, it's got the roof and the bed (though I'm not sure if the headrest on the passenger seat will allow it to fold forward all the way  ) and it looks usable and well restored so might be a good buy for someone and might even become tax exempt if the government continue with bringing the exemption year forward like they did this year.

Cheers,
Robin.

....no Searle or Carawagon badges that I can see - perhaps removed for a repaint - or holes for the awning poles. Perhaps the roof was transferred to a standard hardtop with windows. Non-standard Interior on RHS is much lower than normal, makes me wonder if it once had a fixed roof ...and making up the bed could be an interesting process. Still it's up and running although no mention of an MOT so might be worth a punt. It's not too far away, I might take a run over and take a look...

Yes, possibly, but if that were the case the seller could have pulled it before the end of auction as now he'll have to pay the ebay fees :thud:

If the reserve was £5k as we think, any bids under that would just bump up the price by the minimum amount (£100) each time.
However, if someone bids over the reserve (say £5,100) then the bidding would immediately jump to the reserve price.

That would explain the bidding pattern

It looks to me, though I might be wrong, that it actually sold for £5k.

Cheers,
Robin.
