Overdrive Lever

Hi All.
I'm fitting a Fairy O/D onto a LHD Marshall Ambulance that has just been purchased, via Ebay, from Blanchards.
A quick question, does the operating lever want to be fitted on the right-hand side, or left-hand side of the tunnel?
If its fitted to the left side i know it'll need another link rod. Or is it best to fit a cranked lever.
It's quite a few years since I drove a LHD and, to be honest, I can't remember
Chris.

I don't think it matters whether its LHD or RHD - the lever goes on the RHS of the tunnel. I have a LHD Series IIA station wagon and have owned a RHD Series III and in each case, the lever was on the right.

Agreed, RHS.
The linkage would be fairly torturous if it were on the LHS, but not impossible if you wanted to do it for ergonomics.
