LATP 2013

We've just spent the weekend at the Mining Museum, attending the OLLR Leafers at t'Pit event.
A great weekend, with great company including many OLLR characters.
The 'Carawagon crew' as it is known (not entirely correct, I know, but that's what OLLR insist on calling us
) consisted of the Carawagons of Patrick, Steve, Phillip and mine, of course, plus Stuey's 88" Carawagon and, after many years off the road, Calum's partly restored 6 pot Carawagon (without roof or furniture at the moment).
We were also joined by Neil in his 109" conversion with newly installed 200TDi and Alex in his Dormobile.
John and Martyn were in their classic folding caravans, and John set out the back of Martyn's 109" with his camping bits and pieces.

We were hoping that Mick would join us in his Dormobile on Sunday, but he turned up with his FC tipper with Hiab crane, and took Best Vehicle in Show with it
John Carroll (of Classic Land Rover mag fame) was travelling up from the Eastnor show on Sunday morning in his 109" Carawagon, but unfortunately suffered a breakdown on the way.
He made it as a passenger to take pics etc. but it did mean we were short of the record number of Carawagons that we had last year.
The weather followed the usual LATP format - dull/rain on Friday and Saturday, including some very heavy rain and a thunderstorm directly overhead in the early hours of Saturday morning
but a bright Sunday and the bonus Monday which was also dry and warm.
I think everyone enjoyed themselves
Cheers,
Robin.
