Hi Ludo, glad to see you made it across :wine: Welcome

I must congratulate you on fixing the new canopy to your roof, it looks like you had plenty of material. The one I purchased seemed to be 3inches short in one corner and was too tight  :stars: so I abandoned it and refitted the old one.

Welcome Ludo, I commented on Facebook yesterday, but it really does look cracking!!! See the proposed trip to Normandy next year, might be a good opportunity to come and show it off?

hello

@jerryd : same problem with the canopy... 5 or 10 cms short for me, 3 inch for you. All is good for the roof top, but for the base, it's too short... but me, i need to install the new, my old was "ko".. so we decide to make hole 5cms under in the lifting arms : the high is still good, but no tension on canopy!

i try to explain to jim of dormobile ltd, but he doesn't understand what i mean, cause my poor english... i think that the small part of canopy located at the rear of the roof top is too short...so impossible to fix it without cracking ...

it explains why maybe you see my canopy as it : no tension on... but it's not too bad !!

@DanC : i've seen the gathering prposed on dormobile forum : why not? i will really enjoy to meet Dormobile & camper High Member!!

And in the future, if you go across my country : no problem to welcome you at home (department 45)... food, beer and wine are still in the fridge!! :wine:

kind regards

Merci Ludo,

A beautiful part of France. Hopefully see you in 2014, either way I will be going through France next year!

I had to make two new holes in my strut as well, this was with the original canopy. It was so tight I could not get it open, in fact it still wont go to the original hole on the front of the vehicle!!
