Old type compressor

Post by romanyrose » Tue Oct 08, 2013 8:36 pm

G'day chaps, Matt a forum member put up an old type compressor for sale that he had obtained with view to giving it a good overhaul and home but sadly for him but good for me due to personal issues and time he bought it over from South Derbyshire I think it was to my place near Lincoln in exchange for some trinkets that I have more than 2 of from an ambulance.

Anybody that has been to my place house or bungalow knows you have to allow yourself more than a couple of hours :banghead: ''I am now remembering I had to check out the continuity of a dip switch that I had dug out for Martyn  '' anyhow it's just as well John my helper was hear because could I find those ambulance rear doors and windows :shakehead: not a chance so it was time for a brew and a chin to at least get some idea of the safe place they had been put months ago when a deal had been done.

Thanks to my helper John and a spare set of eye's from Matt in the end most things came to light but by this time it was tea time Matt then realized I had not even looked at this old compressor in large parts and was worried that it was of know use to me  he need not have worried when he opened the rear doors of his van what I saw pleased my eye sight but I left the lifting to Matt and John  Matt then left for a long ride home John departed for his tea and I then went in for mine to end a good day so thanks Matt it took a while but we got there in the end  .

Catch you later. R-Rose :tiphat: .

G'day Robin, yep I got a bit more done on my 88 and while looking while they were tunnelling I came across a steering box that I thought I would rebuild for when Mark nips over to give me a hand changing it over but this one seems ok so I might dig another one out in not such good condition because Martin bought 2 overhaul kits for me off that auction sight so I might as well use them before I loose them  .

As for this compressor I have an old stationary engine lined up where you can count the compression strokes so if I feel a bit down I just have to sit back and chill with a :wine: .

Catch you later. Brad :tiphat: .
