Esterel Folding Caravan Club

Already posted this on the S2 club forum, but can't do any harm here too :tiphat:

I have met several other S2 owners who also have the above caravans. When we got ours and I did some internet research, the only club which catered for these was the Rapido Caravan Club who specifically exclude Esterels made before 1994.

Those who have older vans may be interested to know of a new group that caters for all Esterels no matter what their age: -

Esterel Owners Club

There are already 253 members of the forum though it is not nearly as busy as this one. Maybe information/help you wanted for your van can now be found ?

Hope to see you there

I'm pretty sure there was a forum or at least some web presence for Esterel when I got mine over a year ago.

This forum looks fairly new (July 2012) so it will be worth supporting.

It does seem that 'older' caravans/folding campers do go with Series ownership.

I know Chris has just swapped his Dandy for an Esterel, John swapped his Rapido (?) for an Esterel a year or so ago, Martyn has recently bought a French version of the Esterel and I know of at least two others who have a Dandy folding camper (as well as me :gold: )

So that's at least 5 Esterels that I know of in 'the club'

Cheers,
Robin.

Yes I've been glancing at that 'Esterel' site since shortly after I got mine - which I love - easy to tow, easy to put up and down, a joy to stay in. Mine is an 1986 model, in good original nick, dry inside although the floor has an interesting 'bouncy castle' feel to it. One day I'll check the VIN plate and see if I can find out what model it is.

cheers
