Just a reminder that the entry forms for the Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage show need to be sent in before 19th September.
This is just about the last event of the year on our calendar, and is a great event.
Loads of interesting vintage tractors and vehicles, including a good line-up of Series Land Rovers, and marquees/halls full of all things country - foods, drinks, trade stands, farming auction (usually 100+ lots, not just farming stuff!) and autojumble on the Sunday morning - it's well worth a look in if you haven't been before.
Entry form
HERE
It's free entry for vehicle, 2 adults and a camping/caravan pitch.
We're not doing a stand, but there is an area allocated to Land Rovers - just fill in the application for 'Open Entries' and put 'Land Rovers' in the club/organisation section (or Land Rover Classic Campers or Series 2 Club etc. if you prefer).
Cheers,
Robin.

Well Kath, after a wet and windy couple of days it really brightened up on Sunday
Steve and I arrived Thursday afternoon and after removing Steve's poorly overdrive we had a quiet evening around the firepit, but we retired fairly early

due to the wind.
More arrived on Friday and by the weekend we had around 20 Series Land Rovers on the stand, including four Carawagons including a Range Rover.
Obviously the night heaters and hot water bottles were given some stick as the temperature had really dropped in the last week and with the wind chill factor it felt very cold!
Plenty of tractors and vintage vehicles to look at, and loads of interesting stalls. There was a reasonable autojumble on Sunday morning but obviously it was mostly tractor orientated.

(Poor camera phone picture!)
Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Guys
Long time no see.
Just thought I'd show that I am, indeed, alive and reports of my demise have been greatly.....
It was great to meet up with our camping and Series 2 buddies both old and new at the show.
I'm sure all had a wonderful weekend.
We experienced a bit of wind before the public arrived, so tarp cover was necessary.
Chris was fine...
...and Dandy!
Except for having to use newspaper for the mobile dunny. Bagga!
And Robin finds he has a tractor nearly named after him...
This display could have been by Stewie...
And I'll leave you to decide on your preference of Moggies.
NB The blue one had blue lights shining from the sills.
Class
Nice 'eyes', though but.
And finally, a New Year's Resolution for 2015?
Who gets it is your choice, of course, and certainly not our Germanic buddies.

G'day chaps, as usual i missed out again but the last pic of my buds round that pit made me envious but i will get there soon when the trials and tribulations of living in a straight world get put to one side and i can get back to being at ease with nature and maybe be the third person in the picture

.
The picture itself would have been me 30 odd years ago thinking about it maybe longer but with my chop in the back ground although on my own which i found the way to clear ones mind of the modern way of life.
Really good to see you Steve. Catch you later. R-Rose
