Wanted Sankey axle and springs

Post by Travelrover » Sat Oct 04, 2014 1:35 pm

Looking for a Sankey axle and springs or the whole trailer to use a donor for my new trailer project. Want to keep to Landover wheels so the Sankey seems the best way forward.
anyone have one rusting away in a corner?

Thanks

Hi Bob,

Do you use ebay?

They seem to pop up there fairly often, sometimes at bargain prices, sometimes at thousands!

There are a few on at the moment:
HERE Buy it now or offers £395 - 1 day left

HERE Narrow track, bidding at £300 - 1 day left (no bids)

HERE Wide track, bidding at £200 - 5 days left (1 bid)

HERE Wide track - bidding at £21 - 6 days left (2 bids)

HERE Project - buy it now or offers £114.61  6 days left.

Plus a couple of restored ones at much higher prices!

Of course, they might all be too far away for you, but at least it gives you some idea of what's available.

Good luck
Robin.

Thanks Robin,
Yes watching them on flee Bay but you don't know what you get until you collect. Was hoping a club member may have on tucked up in a corner at least that way you get the truth on condition etc.

Thanks

hi Robin, I have a Shanky forsale if your still interested. I was going to do a full on rebuild but my plans have changed. The tub is in a fair but unloved condition, but from your post your not fussed about that. The chassis, axles etc are in very good shape. Just need a clean. The PO had fitted a 50mm ball hitch, this makes the trailer more user friendly as i could pull behind either of my LR's. I didnt look to see where you are from and i dont know if your willing to travel for the right trailer?

Regards James
