Ha ha, when we were living in Adelaide my mum would insist on a proper English Christmas - with us all dressed up and a full roast in the dining room, often with the curtains drawn to try to keep it cool(er) inside - no aircon in those days

My sister and I used to be so jealous, peeking out of the windows seeing our neighbours with their bbqs and the other kids playing in their paddling pools and sprinklers
