Bleeding brakes!

I have just asked this question on the S3Club forum. Bleeding the TLS S3 front brakes is a nightmare because the bleed nipple is on the bottom. Why not run the copper pipe from the flexi pipe to the bottom cylinder first and put the nipple on the top? It means making up new ,longer pipes but it seems so obvious there must be a catch. The last time I bled these brakes it took 3ltr of fluid and a lot of evenings and I don't fancy a repeat.

First done on Patrick's Carawagon (S3 6 pot brakes) then on my S2A Rex the Rat (S2 LWB TLS) and on my Carawagon (S2 LWB TLS).

There are those who say it makes no difference as the air gets pushed to the end of the line anyway, but we don't have any of the bleeding issues others seem to be always reporting :shrug:

Cheers Robin. That's just what I meant. With what seems to be so obvious you do wonder if there is a major problem everyone else knows about. I have just discovered that one brake problem I had was that the friction material had come away from the shoes. Sometimes worked sometimes not and sometimes like the drum was full of gravel. Trying to get the other drums off to check them.
