Looks in seemingly good condition... Should be a good project for somebody...

What would be a good sensible offer for a roof like that?
I might have somebody in our local LR club that is interested in in such a roof. He's actualy looking for a Dormobile roof, but he might find this interesting instead?

I paid about £450 for a complete if slightly damaged Dorma roof a couple of years ago. We hadn't realised the extent of the damage at the time, so it's still in the garage waiting to get re-resined & the metal work straightened out.
The Carawagon roof did look tempting, but too much hassle to import.

Plus on the Carawagon roof, it is all wood. So easier to work on then the resin and fabric of the Dormobile roof if it needs repairing or restoring.
Just read the text in the add. It says it is a do it upper, so will need some restoration I would assume.
If my friend would be interested, would £300 be a fair price for the condition the seller discribes with the roofrack?

As Michiel says, the wood can be easily replaced, though the alloy sheet would need to be in good condition - and it looks ok from the pictures apart from a possible dip near the front on the centre line
I paid £150 for a roof in poor condition 4 years ago - the woodwork all needed replacing though the alloy panel, hinges and fittings were all ok.
I would suspect he might be expecting more with the roofrack, but you can always try a low offer to see what he says.
I wonder what happened to the rest of the vehicle
Cheers,
Robin.

The man asked €25 for the roof. Some work on the wooden sheet, it is stil there.
I needed the roofrack onley, so that is sold.

Wow, €25 for the roof is a real bargain - makes it worth travelling over if someone needs one, I think
