Hello from a 109in in Cambridgeshire

Hi folks,

Been meaning to join this forum for a long while!

My vehicle's a 1968 Series IIA 109in hardtop, with a 2.25 petrol engine, overdrive, military chassis and a few other bits, but nothing too dramatic. Proper bitsa really, and I love it to pieces. Took it to the Alps over the summer, in convoy with a 2.0-litre 80in, which was costly but epic. Apart from a jittery fuel pump in the extreme heat, she performed impeccably.

Writing for LRO magazine is my day job, so the Land Rover pops up in those pages every now and then.

Loved the LRCC display at the LRO Show over the weekend. I'd have liked more time to come and say hi but I'm afraid we were all rushed off out our feet so I only found time for a quick hello at the end. Looking forward to Adventure Overland this coming weekend, so hopefully see some of you there.

I'm about to make another post to ask for your advice on something I'm currently researching for the magazine. Grateful for any input you'd like to offer.

Theo

Hi Theo,

Yes, it was another great show, and it was good to meet you again just before we left

We'll be at AO with a few classic campers (on stand L3), so look forward to chatting again there.

Cheers,
Robin.
